Lee Kelly is a former partner of Howard Worth, having acted as the general partner responsible for managing the Macclesfield office. Having graduated from Oxford University in 1987 with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Lee originally trained at Arthur Andersen in Manchester and then became a tax manager at HLB Kidsons. A tax articled ATII qualified chartered accountant, Lee specialises in tax planning and advice.

 

After studying Geography at Emmanuel College, Cambridge, Ann McEllin qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young, and has wide-ranging accounting and internal and external auditing experience. She left Ernst & Young to join the internal audit department of ICI Plc, leaving-after two years to establish and manage the European internal audit function of a US "Fortune 500" company, Thermo Electron Inc. Ann will work in our audit and accounts department, initially for three days a week.

 

Kerrie Pegg is a young qualified chartered certified accountant, dealing with most aspects of client work, including statutory and non-statutory accounts preparation, audit fieldwork, corporation tax and personal tax. Kerrie qualified with first-time passes in February 2002, having previously worked at another firm of chartered accountants in Leek. Kerrie is the initial point of contact for a number of our corporate and non-corporate clients.

 

 

Carol Gregory is our personal tax advisor. Being a former employee of the Inland Revenue, she has a sound knowledge of personal taxation rules and requirements. Since leaving the Revenue she has worked for other firms of accountants in various areas of the UK. She is normally the first point of contact in relation to your personal taxation needs.

 

 

Brian Whiston is responsible for undertaking payroll services to our clients. He also prepares accounts, and has an extensive knowledge of the accounting and software package, SAGE. Brian again is the first point of contact for many of our clients, and would be happy to assist with any SAGE technical queries.

 

 

 

Sue Barnett is our secretary/administration assistant. She answers the telephone, and carries out general administrative duties. She also helps to ensure that statutory accounts and returns are filed or submitted within the required time limit.
